The Marengo Economic Development Commission (the Commission) was created in 2005 to promote community and economic growth through effective business planning, proactive business retention, and coordinated recruitment of new businesses for the city.

With eleven members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council, the Commission meets at 7:30am on the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the lower level of Flatlander Market, 125 South State Street.
