The City of Marengo is seeking a dependable, motivated, and adaptable individual to join our Public
Works Department as a full-time Maintenance Worker. This is more than a job operating equipment or
performing routine maintenance. It is an opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact on a growing

Every day, Public Works employees help maintain the streets, infrastructure, public spaces,
facilities, and equipment that residents, businesses, and visitors rely upon. Whether repairing

Compensation & Employment
• Starting Wage: $25.69 per hour
• Top-of-Scale Wage: $33.71 per hour
• Full-time, Non-exempt
• Maintenance Worker Class – Teamster Wage Scale
• Department: Street Department
• Reports to: Street Foreman
• Rotating on-call responsibilities and emergency response as needed
